The minions are back on the big screen

EVERYONE’S favourite cheeky little friends are back for their own adventure in a new film which will be a hit for all the family – and we’ve got tickets to give away.

The film centres around three minions, popular animated characters from the hit film series Despicable Me who have become well-loved for their ridiculous shenanigans and slapstick routines.

The plot follows Stuart, Kevin and Bob (Pierre Coffin) on their adventures, and is set before the Despicable Me series, when they became workers in Gru’s lair.

Minions, if you have not met them before, are small, yellow creatures who have existed since the beginning of time, and have only one purpose – to serve history’s most despicable criminal masterminds.

They are recruited by evil villain Scarlett Overkill (Sandra Bullock) to help her take over the world, alongside her inventor husband Herb (Jon Hamm), as the pair plan to become the most powerful couple of all time.

Travelling through New York City, they find their way to London – where they must confront a threat to the existence of all minions.

This long-awaited film is a must see for all families with the hilarious capers of the three minions as they stumble along their villainous path.

The Mercury has teamed up with the Odeon to offer two lucky readers the chance to win a pair of family tickets to the show and a selection of merchandise prizes including a lunch bag, umbrella and stationery set.
