A thrilling horror debuted this week, proving peace and quiet do not always go hand in hand.
Nerve-shredding film A Quiet Place hit cinemas on Thursday, set to have you jumping out of your seat.
And you could see the movie for free, as the Mercury has three pairs of tickets up for grabs thanks to the Odeon.
The film is the brainchild of John Krasinski, star of the American version of The Office – widely regarded as one of the funniest sitcoms ever to feature on TV.
Therefore you would expect his talents as a comedy actor may not best lend themselves to creating a quality horror film – but A Quiet Place has impressed critics so far, earning an rating of 8.5 on film bible IMDB.
Krasinski, who plays Lee, stars alongside his on-and-off-screen wife Emily Blunt, who plays Evelyn.
The couple and their family resort to living their lives in eerie silence, with deadly mysterious creatures which hunt by sound lurking in the nearby darkness.
The family communicate only in sign language, in fear of being snared by the menacing beasts which are thirsty for their blood.
The lives of the pair and their children are on the line, but will they be able to survive what is hiding in the darkness?
