A 1990s indie band will perform in Bristol in early May.

Babybird will be at The Fleece in St Thomas Street on May 11.

Babybird formed in 1995, releasing their debut single one year later.

Perhaps the five-piece band’s biggest success came with the launch of their second single You’re Gorgeous which reached number three in the UK charts in October 1996.

Babybird released three albums before being dropped from their record label, Echo Records, in 2000 which led to the group splitting.

However singer-songwriter Stephen Jones, who enjoyed a successful solo career, resurrected the band with a new lineup in 2017 and has begun touring once more.

Babybird will also play gigs in London, Manchester, Glasgow and Sheffield.

The concert will start at 7.30pm.

Tickets, priced £16.50, are available here.
