Blurd and Oas-is will perform at the Winter Gardens.

Some of the best tunes of the 1990s will be performed on stage in Weston this month, offering music buffs the chance to relive Britpop’s biggest rivalry.

Two top-quality tribute acts will perform in Blur Vs Oasis at the Winter Gardens, in Royal Parade, on July 21 at 7pm.

Oas-is will run through the Manchester band’s back catalogue, certain to replicating tunes like Don’t Look Back In Anger and Champagne Supernova, in style.

Blurd will perform the best tunes created by Damon Albarn’s foursome, which churned out hits like Parklife and County House.

Fans of Oasis will also be treated to a memorable experience before the show if they purchase a VIP ticket, with two men who spent plenty of time working with the band sharing stories from years gone by.

Iain ‘Robbo’ Robertson, Oasis’ tour manager and close protection for Liam Gallagher in the 1990s, spent most of his days with the band – travelling the globe and making some unforgettable memories.

The audience will also hear from Tim Abbot, former manager of Creation Records, who first signed the band.

Robertson said: “Tim and I will share stories of what was really happening, throwing light on the myths and legends.”

Abbot will showcase unseen footage from his upcoming film, The Last Great Rock And Roll Circus – giving an unprecedented insight into the story of Oasis.
