A FORMER member of boy band Busted will take to the stage in a solo concert in Bristol this summer.

Charlie Simpson, also the Fightstar frontman, will bring his acoustic based solo material to audiences in July.

Down Down Down, Charlie’s recently released multi-textured debut solo single, was Fearne Cotton’s record of the week on Radio 1 and is now on the station’s b-list.

Produced by Danton Supple (Coldplay, Doves) the track is a harmony inspired in part by Charlie’s love of the Beach Boys, Jackson Browne and Elliott Smith.

He will take to the stage at the Bristol O2 academy on July 5.

Tickets are available via www.gigsandtours.com or from 0844 811 0051.
