Brit singer David Gray performing in Bristol

A BRITISH singer known for his soothing tone and laid-back tunes is performing in the South West.

David Gray gained international fame when his album White Ladder earned critical acclaim in 2000.

It featured his smash-hit single Babylon, which reached number five in the UK singles chart, as well as This Year’s Love and Sail Away.

His follow-up albums A New Day At Midnight and Life In Slow Motion also topped the UK album 
chart.

He has been nominated for four Brit awards for his unique blend of folk and alternative rock, combined with gravelly yet gentle vocals.

He will be performing at Bristol’s Colston Hall on July 8 at 7.30pm. Tickets, priced £31.71 to £51.06, are available from the box office on 0844 8871500 or at www.colstonhall.org
