ONE of the most influential bands of the punk era will headline an annual musical spectacular in Weston next month.The Stranglers will top the bill at this year's Midsummer Buzz on June 3.With 32 hits spanning over four decades and eight gold albums to their name, The Stranglers have experienced worldwide fame.The band is set to release yet another studio album, its 16th, in September.Now in its sixth year, 'The Buzz' has earned a reputation across town as one of the must-see events of the summer.Supporting The Stranglers this year will be the legendary Des Henley with his rock and roll circus, featuring musicians from Fumble.Des and his band Fumble toured with David Bowie in the 1960s and are still rocking crowds nationwide today.Weston's very own 70s chart toppers Racey will kick off the show with all their classics such as Some Girls and Runaround Sue.On June 3 the party will continue with Somerset's favourite cider drinkers, The Wurzels who will be supported by Robbie Williams and Kylie Minogue tribute acts.Tickets are available via www.prismpromo or from the box office on 01934 645544.
