A newly-launched choir in North Somerset is preparing for its first Christmas showpiece event.

Costanzi Consort, a mixed-voice group from Weston, will be performing a concert this weekend.

St Mary’s Church, in Yatton, will be brought to life by the powerful and stunning choir on Saturday evening.

Dr Peter Leech, a musician from Uphill, formed the choir earlier this year.

He has put together a programme of French advent and Christmas music for this week’s show.

The concert will begin at 7.30pm.

Tickets, priced £4.50-12, can be booked online at www.costanziconsort.org.uk or purchased on the door.
