Burnham and Highbridge Band

BURNHAM and Highbridge Band will provide some festive sing-song later this month.

Under musical director David Fisher it will hold a Christmas concert on December 19 at 7.45pm in the Princess Hall in Burnham.

It is a popular performance and the past three years have proved to be almost total sell-outs.

This year’s concert will contain a number of solo items, duets and novelty numbers, as well as a wide assortment of stirring, seasonal brass band music.

Tickets, priced £5-6, are available from band members or at the door until the hall is full. To reserve tickets ring the secretary Ken Henton on 01278 641278.

* The band will also be playing carols in the entrance foyer to Asda in Highbridge on December 18 and 24, from 10am-12 noon.

A collection will be given to Help for Heroes.

It will play again on the evening of December 20, together with singers from Asda’s staff. On that occasion the collection will be made in aid of RNLI.
