Frozen queen Idina Menzel to put on a Wicked performance at Colston Hall

An international superstar and household name will bring her worldwide tour to Bristol this summer.

Idina Menzel rose to fame in 1995 after she took on the role of Maureen Johnson in the Broadway musical Rent.

She has had a string of success theatre performances ever since, receiving a number of awards for her acting and singing.

The starlet has played Elphaba in one of the most popular Broadway shows, Wicked, and Elizabeth in the 2014 musical If/Then.

Menzel has also shone on the silver screen with notable roles in TV series Glee and popular Disney films Enchanted and Frozen.

Her role in Frozen as Queen Elsa made her a household name with every generation.

The Oscar and Grammy Award-winning song Let It Go has become one of the most popular Disney songs in history, receiving multi-platinum sales.

The Tony Award-winning icon has now released her fifth studio album, Idina, and will embark on a worldwide tour this year.

The tour will see the Disney princess perform some of her popular hits including Defying Gravity and Let It Go as well as songs from her latest album such as I Stand and Here.

Idina Menzel will be Colston Hall, in Colston Street, at 7.30pm on June 14.
