Carter heads to The Playhouse in bid to crack English charts

A singer who has conquered the Irish charts is heading to the South West next month as he sets his sights on cracking the British market.
Chart-topping performer Nathan Carter will bring his country tunes to Weston’s Playhouse, in High Street, on October 19 at 7.30pm.
The singer-songwriter was born in Liverpool to Irish parents, and at the tender age of 18 he followed his roots in the hope of forging a successful musical career on the Emerald Isle.
And he has duly delivered, releasing nine popular studio albums which have earned him a legion of dedicated fans.
But far from resting on his laurels, Carter is embarking on a tour of Britain with the hope of making an impact on the UK charts.
The 27-year-old rose to prominence in Irish music circles in 2012 with his fourth studio album Wagon Wheel, which made peaked at number six in the chart and featured the popular single Caledonia.
A debut Irish number-one album came in 2013 with Where I Wanna Be, and three more chart-toppers have followed in the form of Beautiful Life, Stayin’ Up All Night and Livin’ The Dream – making Carter one of the most prominent figures in Irish music right now.
The star boasts impressive vocals and a masterful touch on the accordion, meaning fans are set for a night of top-quality country music.
