A POPULAR Christmas music show will not be coming to Weston this year - for the first time in 24 years.

Des Henly’s Rock and Roll Circus has become an institution in the town since first playing in Weston in 1985.

The nights, which were first put on at the Tropicana, and then the Winter Gardens, feature veteran rock band Fumble alongside a variety of different guests.

Organiser Des Henly, who is also Fumbles’ guitarist, said: “We’re just taking a year out, it’s been a long time going.

“We’d just like to thank everyone who’s made the last 24 years so great, and we should be back again next year.”
