OCEAN Colour Scene are the headline act as Langford Court provides an unusual yet beautiful setting this Saturday for the inaugural Langford Live concert.

They will be joined by bands from across the South West to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Ocean Colour Scene’s Cradock and Simon Fowler will headline the evening entertainment and said they were happy to do their bit for the charity.

A spokesman for the pair said: “We are delighted to be able to support Teenage Cancer Trust in this way and at such an amazing location.

“We’re proud to be part of the first Langford Live festival and hope there will be many more.”

They will be joined by many more artists from across the region including Dr Jazz, Mighty Rufus, The Union, The Whodlums and Wild Mercury Sound.

And there will be a selection of stalls in the marquee selling all kinds of food and a bar.

Lady Wills, patron of Teenage Cancer Trust in the South West has been instrumental in making the event happen

She said: “We look forward to welcoming all the festival goers to Langford Court and thank the national and local businesses, whose support has guaranteed the events success.

“We’re so excited to be hosting Langford Live and raising much-needed funds for the vital work that Teenage Cancer Trust do.”

More than 160 young children are diagnosed with cancer every year in South West and the money raised will go towards helping treating youngsters in the area.

Gates open at 3pm with the live music from 4pm until late. People are advised to get there early with an estimated 1,000 tickets already sold.

Tickets cost £38 plus booking fee for adults and children under-16 are free. They can be purchased online at www.langfordlive.org or by calling 01934 863019.
