Weston Operatic Society will present 50 Years Of Musicals at the Victoria Methodist Church this month.

The society has persuaded musical director Tom Shearman and producer Bill Clout to put together another show following the success of last year’s event.

The programme will contain a nostalgic reminder of past productions as well as looking forward to the future.

The audience will also be invited to join a 50-strong company of singers in a sing-along.

They will perform a medley of songs from The Sound Of Music, in tribute to Rogers and Hammerstein.

The society was founded
in 1908 and performs two shows a year at Weston Playhouse.

It also trains a group called The Oppitts, comprised of six to 16-year-olds.

The performance will take place at the Victoria Methodist Church in Station Road in Weston on July 25 at 7.30pm.

Ordering tickets in advance is recommended as seating is limited.

Tickets are available from the telephone answering service on 01934 420006 or from www.tickets@westonoperatic.org.uk
