A British musician who has been at the forefront of the industry for more than 40 years will be performing in the West Country next summer.

Paul Weller is the first act confirmed to take part in the Forest Live gigs in 2019.

He will be taking to the stage at Westonbirt Arboretum in June.

Weller’s career began in the 1970s with The Jam’s debut album In The City and he has enjoyed great success ever since.

Singles such as Wild Wood, Wake Up The Nation and Sonik Kicks have made the 60-year-old a household name across the globe.

Weller has been involved in the Forest Live concerts for a number of years, but his next appearance will be the first since 2014.

He – plus a few guests – will take to the stage in Gloucestershire on June 14 from 6-10.30pm.

Tickets, priced £48.50 plus booking fee, are available online at www.forestry or on 03000 680400.
