A Weston church will host an evening of musical hits in the spring.

Acclaimed pianist Richard Lennox will be at Clarence Park Baptist Church, in Walliscote Road, on April 20.

He will perform some of the most famous pieces created by Stephen Schwartz, one of the most successful musical theatre composers and lyricists in history.

Schwartz has penned hits for shows including Wicked, Children Of Eden, Prince Of Egypt and Godspell so there are sure to be plenty of recognisable tunes for audiences to sing along to.

He has also picked up a clutch of awards during his illustrious career including three Grammy awards and three Academy awards.

Joining Lennox on stage will be talented vocalists such as Keris Lea, Clare Hunter, Chris John-Hughes and the PL Chorus.

Performances will begin at 3.30pm and 7pm.

Tickets, priced £9-10, are available from 01934 623694.
