An evening of classical music awaits a Sidcot audience this week.

West Mendip Orchestra will return to the village with talented young violinist Cristina Dimitrova.

Following an appearance at a sold-out concert in Yatton during the summer, the group will perform another range of classical pieces to a packed hall.

Cristina will perform Max Bruch’s popular and romantic Violin Concerto no 1.

The programme will also include Rossini’s overture La Cenerentola (Cinderella) and Mendelssohn’s majestic Reformation Symphony.

Winscombe-based West Mendip Orchestra regularly play shows across North Somerset, wowing classical music lovers with their varied performances delivered by future stars from the area.

The West Mendip Orchestra will be at the Friends Meeting House, in Oakridge Lane, at 7.45pm tomorrow (Friday).

Tickets, priced £2-10, are available on the door.
