Music by The Beatles will form part of a choral concert to be performed in Weston this weekend.

Weston Choral Society, under music director Howard Sayer, will perform well-loved pieces from the past 50 years.

The concert is called Modern Choral Classics, and will include the Vicar Of Dibley theme, and The Beatles’ songs Here, There And Everywhere and The Long And Winding Road.

Other music will include Eric Whitacre’s Seal Lullaby and Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis by Bob Chilcott, which was originally written for Evensong at Hereford Cathedral in 2015.

Children from Worle Village Primary School will also take part, and Weston musician Richard Lennox will accompany on the organ and piano.

The concert will take place at All Saints’ Church, in All Saints Road, on Saturday at 7.30pm. Tickets, priced £11, are available on the door or from www.westonchoral.org.uk/coming-soon
