Acoustic nights will start at a Weston bar in January to give performers a platform to showcase their talents.

Orange Corner, in Regent Street, will host New Music Live events every two weeks, starting on January 4.

Rich Pegler, from RP Promotions, which is organising the events, said: “These nights of acoustic based live music have been designed to bring the best original artists from outside of the town into Weston for the first time.

“They will be supported by up and coming local artists from the Weston area, with an emphasis on giving young talent a platform to showcase their skills.

“This is being done to add another flavour to the excellent live music scene.”

The first evening will feature Wiltshire group Littlemen and Weston performer Oli Boorman.

The events run from 8-11pm, and the full line-up can be seen at www.rppromotions.co.uk/upcoming-gigs
