A NATIONAL scooter rally will be motoring into Weston tomorrow (Fri) for a three-day event celebrating the iconic vehicle.

More than 1,000 scooter enthusiasts came to the town for the 2011 event, which will this year see live bands, a ride-out and dealers’ markets on offer.

Weston Rugby Club in Sunnyside Road will host scooter enthusiasts, with a ride-out to the seafront set for 1pm.

Camping for the three days will be on offer.

Live bands will also be playing at The Winter Gardens, with The Moderations playing at 10.30pm on Friday, and The Communicators playing at 10.30pm on Saturday.

The Stanleys will perform at the rugby club at 3pm on Saturday, with mod rockers The Coopers playing at Tavern Inn The Town at 2pm on the same day.

There will also be a dealers’ market and late-night music and a bar at the rugby club.

The National Scooter Rally is coming to Weston from tomorrow at noon, and running until Sunday.

Tickets, priced £3-20 (£20 tickets include the cost of camping and entertainment all weekend), are available by calling 01934 417834 or emailing

All evening events are for over-18s only.
