More than 70 young people aged 12 to 21 will be taking part in the open-air production of JM Barrie’s beloved tale of the boy who never grew up.

Prior Park College will host the Theatre Royal Bath’s Storm On The Lawn production from Wednesday to August 26 – and it promises to be an event to remember.

Amy Leach takes control of a new production of Trevor Nunn and John Caird’s stage production of a story which has enchanted generations.

New audiences will be spellbound too, as Peter Pan arrives at Wendy Darling’s nursery window and whisks her off to Neverland.

Its magical characters – including Tinkerbell, Captain Hook, Tiger Lily and Smee – will captivate spectators of all ages.

Show director Amy Leach said: “Everyone is working so incredibly hard and Peter Pan promises to be a magical performance celebrating the importance of the imagination and of storytelling.”

The atmospheric grounds, boasting views across the beautiful Bath landscape, will be open an hour before curtain-up for theatre fans who would like to picnic.

Performances take place nightly at 8pm, with 2.30pm matinees on Saturday and Sunday.

Tickets cost £12.50 for adults or £8.50 for children, and can be ordered from the Theatre Royal Bath box office on 01225 448844 or via www.theatreroyalorg.uk
