TWO comedies and a curry will be served up in two evenings of entertainment.

The Shipham Players are performing two one-act shows by prolific playwright Alan Ayckbourn.

In the first, audiences eavesdrop on a conversation in a smart restaurant which takes a surprising turn.

And in the second comedy, a fete organiser is confronted by more problems than one man should have to face.

The comedies are separated by a two-course meal served during the interval, and there is an alternative for non-curry lovers.

The performances take place at Shipham Village Hall in New Road on June 20-21.

Tickets, priced £12.50, are available from Hansfords Butchers in The Square.
