A group of friends are off to see the wizard – the wonderful wizard of Oz.

Dorothy and Toto will unite with the Tin Man, Scarecrow and Cowardly Lion in The Oppitts’ performance of The Wizard Of Oz.

Dorothy, played by Maddie Walker, is deposited in Oz after a tornado hits her farm in Kansas, but she just wants to go home.

The original tale was written by Frank Baum, and has become a family favourite.

The show has been adapted from the motion picture screenplay, and will be performed at The Blakehay Theatre in Weston from July 28-30.

The shows are at 2.30pm on 
July 28 and July 30, and 7.30pm 
on July 28-30.

The Mercury has teamed up with The Oppitts to offer one pair of tickets to the Thursday matinee show.
