THE HIP-SWIVELLING king of rock will be shaking the stage at Weston's Playhouse theatre in February.

Elvis On Tour - The Legend Continues is a full evening paying tribute to the early days of the rock 'n' roll god.

The spectacular show features Lee 'Memphis' King, the UK's most successful Elvis impersonator and finalist in the BBC television's World Greatest Elvis show.

With his outstanding band, stunning persona, stage show and singers, his spectacular recreation of Elvis on stage must be seen to be believed.

Lee was awarded the ultimate accolade of World Champion Elvis Tribute Artist at the Collingwood Elvis Festival held annually in Canada.

This is the largest and most respected Elvis tribute contest and festival in the world today.

It is said to be like no other Elvis Presley show and fans have often commented that he is the closest to the real thing you will ever see.

Lee saw one of Elvis's films when he was only a few years old and has loved the man and his music from that day on.

Even as a child he found himself imitating Elvis's voice and as he grew up this became an overwhelming obsession to perfect his voice and to recreate the excitement and passion that Elvis himself put into every performance.

Lee said: "To me Elvis was the greatest performer and vocalist of the last century and I constantly strive for perfection when I perform his songs."

Lee said he has a genuine long-felt love and respect for the 'king' and is committed to perform the closest tribute to the real thing.

Catch the electrifying show at 7.30pm on February 6.

Tickets, priced £18.50-19.50, are available on 01934 645544 or via www.theplayhouse.co.uk
