Amanda Whittington’s comedy classic Ladies’ Day will be performed by Stage 2 Drama at Berrow Village Hall in November.

The tale follows four fish factory workers – Pearl, Shelley, Linda and Jan – and their determination to enjoy a big day out at Ladies’ Day at Royal Ascot.

Finding tickets proves no easy feat, not least during a run-in with an ambitious ticket tout, but the pals will not be deterred in their quest to – however briefly – rub shoulders with high society while wearing ‘an eye-boggling hat’.

The show is tipped by insiders to be ‘a clear winner in the comedy dramatic stakes’, but the big unanswered question is: Will the ladies hit the jackpot or will they hit rock bottom?
