Amanda Whittington’s comedy classic Ladies’ Day will be performed by Stage 2 Drama at Berrow Village Hall in November.

The tale follows four fish factory workers – Pearl, Shelley, Linda and Jan – and their determination to enjoy a big day out at Ladies’ Day at Royal Ascot.

Finding tickets proves no easy feat, not least during a run-in with an ambitious ticket tout, but the pals will not be deterred in their quest to – however briefly – rub shoulders with high society while wearing ‘an eye-boggling hat’.

The show is tipped by insiders to be ‘a clear winner in the comedy dramatic stakes’, but the big unanswered question is: Will the ladies hit the jackpot or will they hit rock bottom?

Stage 2’s Ladies’ Day will be staged at the Parsonage Road hall from November 30 to December 2, at 7.30pm each night. For tickets, which are priced £7.50, call 01278 782319 or log on to http://stage2drama.org
