RECORD-BREAKING Merseybeat icon Gerry Marsden returns to Weston’s Playhouse Theatre by popular demand this month, bringing with him all the great 60s pop classics of Gerry And The Pacemakers as well as a touch of that famous scouse humour.

Led by Gerry Marsden on vocals, Gerry And The Pacemakers wowed music lovers in the mid-60s with timeless classics such as How Do You Do It?, I Like It, You’ll Never Walk Alone, I’m The One, Don’t Let The Sun Catch You Crying and Ferry Across The Mersey.

They were the second Liverpool group to chart in the UK singles chart - after The Beatles - but the first to reach the coveted number one spot.

They have also earned their place in the record-books as the first act ever to top the UK charts with their initial three singles.

Gerry And The Pacemakers have a long association with football. In June 1985, the Bradford City fire disaster prompted Gerry Marsden to bring together dozens of celebrities under the name of The Crowd to re-record a charity version of the popular football anthem You’ll Never Walk Alone.

Following the Hillsborough disaster in 1989, Gerry again joined fellow Liverpudlians Paul McCartney, The Christians and Holly Johnston to re-record Ferry ‘Cross The Mersey to raise money for the disaster fund.

Join in this musical journey which includes all of Gerry’s greatest hits mixed up with stories, jokes and anecdotes from his early beginnings in Liverpool to his years at the top.

This rollercoaster ride of fun, music and nostalgia, arrives at Weston’s Playhouse Theatre on May 28 at 7.30pm.

Tickets, priced £18.50, and are available from the box office on 01934 64 55 44 or online at
