Children in Weston-super-Mare were able to meet the cast of a popular family production at a town bookshop last weekend.

The cast of Goodnight Mister Tom, which opened at the Blakehay Theatre yesterday (Wednesday), chatted to young people at Waterstones in the Sovereign Centre on Saturday.

Robbie Burns, who plays the lead role of Tom Oakley, said: “We were thrilled with the turnout.

“They had a real interest and asked some wonderful questions about our characters and how the play differed from the book.”

The show runs at the Blakehay, in Wadham Street, until Saturday. For tickets, call 01934 645493.
