An Ideal Husband features scandal-loving journalists
and the pitfalls of holding public figures to higher standards than everyone

The story centres around Sir Robert Chiltern, a promising politician destined for the highest office.

He is unquestionably an ideal husband, until the enigmatic Mrs Cheveley appears in London with a damning secret.

The production features some familiar British talent, including Susan Hampshire, known for her role in Monarch Of The Glen.

Edward Fox, who appeared in the Oscar-winning film Gandhi, will star as the Earl of Caversham.

An Ideal Husband will be at the Theatre Royal Bath from Wednesday to August 4 at various times.

Tickets, priced £25.50-41.50, are available from 01225 448844 or at
