Churchill Academy will perform Singin' In The Rain at The Playhouse.


Churchill Academy has been forced to cancel its Singing In The Rain performances at Weston-super-Mare’s Playhouse Theatre.

Students were due to take to the stage tonight (Thursday) and tomorrow afternoon (Friday) but it has had to be cancelled due to the snow.

The school is, however, planning to continue with its 7pm performance tomorrow night.

A theatre spokesman said: “Our box office team will be in contact with people from tomorrow afternoon to discuss alternative performance options for Singing In The Rain.

“To ensure the wellbeing of our staff, the box office will close today and look to re-open tomorrow afternoon.

“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you and ask you not to travel to the venue at the moment.

“Please keep warm and safe at home at this time.”
