One of Bath’s biggest outdoor shows will bow out this year, but not before staging one final production in August.

The Storm On The Lawn project will present The Teacup Poisoner, a new musical written by Mark Powell and Ben Occhipinti.

It is based on the true story of 14-year-old Graham Young, a talented chemist with a pre-occupation with poison who will stop at nothing to get famous.

The play will be the culmination of The Egg Theatre’s summer school, where young actors and backstage personnel will work with professionals to stage the show.

Young people aged between 12 and 21 from across the South West who want to take part in the final summer school can sign up via 01225 823409 or email egg.reception@theatreroyal.org.uk before July 31, with the summer school starting on August 3.

Producer Katherine Lazare said: “From those who have grown up with this much-loved project to those who are engaging with it for the very first time, you can be sure that Storm On The Lawn 2015 will be one to remember.”

Performances of The Teacup Poisoner will be at 8pm on August 19-20 and on August 23 and at 5pm and 9pm on August 21-22.

Shows will take place at the Ball Court of Prior Park College.

Tickets, priced £9-13, are available from www.theatreroyal.org.uk or from 01225 448844.
