Villagers will need to act quick to get a golden ticket to see Charlie And The Chocolate Factory.

A stage version of Road Dahl’s much-loved novel is being performed in Wrington this week.

A drama club spokesman said: “Up until Saturday, Wrington Drama Club and Wrington Youth Drama will be staging their own original version of Charlie And The Chocolate Factory.

“The production will feature all of the familiar characters we love – Willy Wonka, Charlie Bucket, Grandpa Joe and of course our very own Oompa Loompas.”

The cast will be made up of enthusiastic youngsters and experienced adult actors.

Shows will start tomorrow (Tuesday) at 7.30pm and there will be a 2.30pm matinee on Saturday. All of them will be staged at Wrington Memorial Hall.

Tickets are available from Amors, Buglers and The Gallery or in an evening from Richard Kingcott on 07767 778297.
