A Weston actor will be returning to his home town when his production The Addams Family heads to Bristol next week.

Jacob Fisher, aged 23, is a former Priory Community School students and has seen his stage career go from strength to strength since he left.

Fresh from a tour of Mamma Mia, he is now back on the road with The Addams Family, which is making its UK debut having been successful across the pond on Broadway.

Not only is the show being performed across the UK, an exciting new location has been added the tour, with Jacob and the rest of the cast heading to Singapore on an extended run.

He told the Mercury he cannot wait to travel abroad for the first time.

Jacob added: “We are going to Singapore for three weeks when our UK run comes to an end. It is going to be a great experience,

“This tour has been amazing but tough. We are at a venue for a maximum of two weeks and now until the end we are only in venues for one week.”

But this week, when the show heads to Bristol, Jacob will be able to stay at his parents’ house in Weston and he said he is looking forward to his home comforts and the army of people he has got coming to see him perform.

He said: “It is really exciting to be back and I have so many friends and family who are coming to see the show.

“One night, my sister has a group of 40 coming.”

But this run in Bristol is even more exciting for Jacob as his day-to-day role is one of the ancestors in the ensemble, but on September 22 he will take on his understudy role as Wednesday Addams’ boyfriend Lucas Beineky.

Jacob said: “I cannot wait to play the role.

“We are really hoping after this tour, we can take the show to London – that is our dream.”

The show will be at the Bristol Hippodrome, in St Augustines Parade, from Tuesday to September 23.

Performances will start at 7.30pm each night, except from September 22 when the show will begin at 8.30pm.

There will also be a 2.30pm matinee on Wednesday and September 23 and a 5pm show on September 22.

Tickets, priced £21.90-56.40, are available from 08448 717627 or via www.atgtickets.com
