An innovative theatre group will put a new spin on a famous children’s story on a North Somerset Stage next month, promising to blow you over with laughter.

Comedy play The Fabulous Bacon Boys will be staged at Clevedon’s Theatre Shop, in the Triangle Centre, from March 3-4 at 2pm.

The alternative play, which re-imagines The Three Little Pigs tale, centres on Bacon Construction, with three builder brothers creating state-of-the-art houses made of straw, wood and brick for the wealthy villagers of the fictional village of Little-Muckle-in-the-Wold.

But their properties come under scrutiny after a visit from the fearsome planning inspector, Miss Wolf.

The performance, packed with porky puns and slapstick comedy, will be delivered entirely in rhyme and song, promising a funny twist on a classic children’s tale.

The play is the brainchild of Bristol-based theatre group Living Spit.

The organisation has built an impressive reputation for delivering hilarious and quirky plays.

The Fabulous Bacon Boys has earned rave reviews in the past, and has regularly staged to sell-out crowds across North Somerset.

Tickets for this show, which include a drink, plus a delicious bacon sandwich or a pig-shaped biscuit, cost £12.

They are available to buy online by logging on to the Theatre Shop website at www.theatreshop.org.uk
