A slick comedy thriller is heading to a The Blakehay Theatre in Weston next month.
Baroque Theatre company will present Twist – an edgy and stylish show with echoes of hit Tarantino film Pulp Fiction.
Audiences will be left guessing until the very end in this comedy thriller which has been billed as a ‘Tarantino meets British farce’ by the theatre company.
David Woods is a mild-mannered accountant who comes up with a sensational plan to make a fortune by writing a kiss-and-tell biography about his wife Sarah – the nation’s favourite actress from the hit soap Doctors And Nurses.
He then twigs the book will be even more successful if she is dead. However, a few obstacles get in the way of his plan for murder.
It is the first time Twist has toured professionally in the UK and theatre-goers are in for some thrills and chills during the performance.
Baroque Theatre Company is collaborating with Miles Tredinnick, who has been touring nationally with his Up Pompeii show. Miles – who is also known as Riff Regan, the lead singer for the band London – is a rock musician as well as a stage and screenwriter.
He wrote stage and TV material for Frankie Howerd and was also a writer on TV show Birds Of A Feather.
Twist is showing at The Blakehay Theatre, in Wadham Street, on May 5, with shows at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.
Tickets are priced £13 and can be booked from www.blakehaytheatre.co.uk
