WESTON will be rocking next month when a celebration of rock ‘n’ roll king Elvis Presley comes to town – and you could be there to join the party.

The Elvis Years is an ‘outstanding’ concert production of the West End smash musical Jailhouse Rock. It celebrates Presley’s 80th birthday year and features original star Mario Kombou, alongside Ivor Novello award-winning director and producer David Mackay.

The show, which is set to light up The Playhouse’s stage, is packed with more than 50 of Presley’s greatest hits.

It chronicles Presley’s early career stages of Sun Studios and That’s Alright Mama, before following him through to a special TV performance of All Shook Up in 1968 and ending with hits such as In The Ghetto and Suspicious Minds.

The Elvis Years will be at The Playhouse, in the High Street, on July 9 at 7.30pm.

Tickets, priced £21.50-22.50, are available from the box office on 01934 645544 or online via www.theplayhouse.co.uk

The Mercury has teamed up with The Playhouse to offer three lucky readers the chance to win a pair of tickets to the show.

Usual Archant rules apply and the editor’s decision is final.

By entering the competition you are agreeing to be contacted by Archant.

The competition closes at 10am on June 26.
