William Shakespeare’s timeless The Taming Of The Shrew is coming to the Bristol Hippodrome – but not as you know it.

Birmingham Royal Ballet is returning to Bristol for the first time in 20 years and you have a chance to win tickets to its opening night.

John Cranko’s ballet adaptation of the renowned play is like no other but still conveys the wit of the iconic story of two battling lovers, as Petruchio attempts to woo the feisty, independent-spirited and tempestuous Katherina.

This innovative performance has had international success, while Cranko is described as ‘one of the master storytellers in dance’.

The Taming Of The Shrew will be at the Hippodrome from June 29 to July 2 at 7.30pm, with 2.30pm performances on June 30 and July 2.

Tickets, priced from £16.40-49.40 are available from www.atgtickets.com

The Mercury has teamed up with the Hippodrome to offer two lucky readers a pair of tickets to the show on June 29.

To enter, answer the question below. Or, send your answer, along with your name, address and telephone number to: Weston & Somerset Mercury, 32 Waterloo Street, Weston-super-Mare, BS23 1LW by 10am on June 10.
