The Playhouse is welcoming a one-man show to the stage to tell the story of Norman Wisdom.
Wisdom was one of the biggest stars of the British stage and screen and to this day is still known for his hilarious performances.
But what about the man behind the slapstick routines?
Jack Lane takes on the role and reveals Wisdom’s tough and lonely childhood.
But after Wisdom joined the army, he began to realise his talent and created a routine which propelled him to stardom in the 1950s.
Lane plays 30 characters throughout this performance and will have you both laughing and crying.
Wisdom Of A Fool will be at The Playhouse, in High Street, on September 14 at 7.30pm.
Tickets, priced £22 for adults and £15 for children, are available on 01934 611084 or via www.theplayhouse.co.uk
