OH YES it is. One of the best-loved pantomimes of them all, Cinderella, will be staged at the Theatre Royal in Bath this Christmas.Expected to be a traditional family production, starring Ruth Madoc as the Fairy Godmother, it is the much loved story of a young girl whose life is made a misery by her ugly sisters.Cinderella, however, with the help of her Fairy Godmother, half a dozen mice and a pumpkin, still manages to go to the ball and meet her Prince Charming.Unfortunately, she forgets the warning to leave the party early before the clock strikes 12 and runs out in a hurry, without one of her glass slippers. The prince finds the slipper and decides that whomever the slipper fits, he shall marry.Ruth Madoc, most famous for her role in Hi-De-Hi, teams up with Chris Harris as Buttons, Mark Buffery and Jon Monie as the ugly sisters, Adam Price as Baron Hardup and Gillian Budd as Cinderella in a show that even includes a team of Shetland ponies. The pantomime runs from December 14-January 21.Tickets, priced £9.50-£19.50, are available from the box office on 01225 448844.
