The Museum of Memories will feature timeless pieces ranging from old-fashioned toys, sweets and breakfast cereals to memorabilia from television programmes and seaside trips.

The exhibition will initially take visitors back to the Victorian era continuing through a decade by decade timeline of history towards the present day.

Consumer historian, Robert Opie, said: “For many this exhibition will be a fascinating trip down memory lane, while for children it will be a stimulating educational experience.”

The museum showcase will be open over the summer period, with hopes of becoming a permanent attraction depending on public interest.

Entry to the Museum of Memories is £3. For more details, email info@grandpier.co.uk
