WW1 memorial dinner to be held for charity

A BLACK tie dinner and dance is to be held in memory of World War One veterans.

Five courses of food and wine will be enjoyed by guests to raise money for Help For Heroes as part of Winscombe and Sandford festival.

A charity auction will be selling weekend retreats, paintings from well-known artists and more for the cause. MP John Penrose will be a special guest.

The dinner will take place in the marquee on Winscombe recreational ground at 7.30pm on July 4.

Tickets, priced £40, are available from The Wine Shop or church office in Winscombe, on 01934 84650 or via administrator@winscombeandsandfordchurches.co.uk.
