The secrets of the Black Panther are revealed in the latest Marvel film – and the Mercury is offering its readers the chance to see it for free.

The hotly-anticipated film will take audiences into the world of the Black Panther, who was first introduced during Captain America: Civil War.

The movie will pick up after the events of the Civil War, which notably featured the death of the lead character’s father King T’Chaka (played by John Kani).

T’Challa (played by Chadwick Boseman) has returned to his home nation of Wakanda and has been crowned the new king.

But, the change in the royal family has brought about instability across the country which attracts some antagonist forces which want to cause havoc.

King T’Challa must team up with CIA agent Everett K Ross and members of the all-female special forces Dora Milaje to prevent a world war.

The Captain America film marked the character’s premiere on the big screen and made Black Panther the second Marvel superhero to be introduced before appearing in a stand-alone film with no character background – the first being Spiderman.

The film will see Academy Award-winning and Golden Globe-nominated actress Lupita Nyong’o play King T’Challa’s former flame and deadly special forces operative Nakia.

The film has so far received rave reviews from critics, with The New York Times praising its ‘great flair and feeling’.
