WESTON locals have been delving into the history of the town in the We Grew Up In Weston-super-Mare Facebook group.

Photos of the town's seafront, donkeys on the beach and more have been posted in the social media group, which aims to give residents a platform to reminisce.

Commenting underneath the photo of the vintage Tesco store, one local said: "Used to go to Tesco with my mum every week and she would always buy me a new Star Wars figure...followed by a fizzy green drink in a plastic glass at the back of Owen & Owen."

Another added: "I loved shopping in there and collecting green shield stamps lol. Showing my age now."
