AUDIENCES will get the chance to step back in time when they see the show regarded as Britain’s best matinee, We’ll Meet Again.
This celebration of wartime nostalgia has a brand new programme of music and comedy and visits The Playhouse for one night only this month.
The show, presented by Duggie Chapman MBE, has clocked up an amazing 10 years on the road and includes music that will celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the spirit of wartime entertainment.
This time around audiences can expect an exciting programme with new comedy star Adam Daye recalling the wonderful comedy radio stars of the period.
The show will recreate the music and memories of the wartime era and will be performed by international singer, Marilyn Hill Smith, from the BBC’s Friday Night Is Music Night.
Marilyn will bring back the memorable songs of Vera Lynn and the music of Ivor Novello to The Playhouse stage.
The line-up also boasts Tony Leyton with the remarkable songs of Bing Crosby and Donald Peers and the fabulous music of The Martyn St James band.
Ukulele expert Andy Eastwood will perform both Formby favourites and classical pieces never before heard on a ukulele.
Completing this great cast is the show’s host Mervyn Francis, known for his appearances with the Black and White Minstrel Show.
