Win: Tickets for A Feast of Gilbert and Sullivan

A FEAST of favourites from the creators of some of the world’s best-known operas will entrance audiences at The Playhouse Theatre in Weston this month.
A Feast of Gilbert and Sullivan will bring a one-off evening of musical entertainment to the resort on July 29.
Much Loved Productions has for the past 11 years presented the show to audiences all over the country.
The show will feature a selection from all of the Gilbert and Sullivan operas, including the Mikado, Pirates Of Penzance, Patience, HMS Pinafore, The Gondoliers, Iolanthe, Ruddigore, Princess Ida, Utopia Ltd and The Grand Duke.
As well as featuring short scenes of dialogue and some witty tales from the company’s years of touring, the audience can also expect to be asked to join in with the proceedings.
The former star performers of the D’Oyly Carter Opera Company will feature, as well as soprano Marilyn Hill Smith, mezzo Louise Crane, tenor Nicholas Sales, baritone Jeremy Peaker and bass Richard Woodall.
They will be joined by David Smith, Leeds City Varieties Good Old Days musical director, who has worked on television shows such as The New Statesman and Heartbeat and films such as Romance On The Orient Express.
