DANCE fans will have the chance to experience sensational choreography from the highly-acclaimed Jazz Dance Company this summer.

The group makes a return to The Playhouse theatre stage for the 14th consecutive year, with its sensational final year dancers.

Audiences can expect an exciting evening of song and dance created by leading choreographers from today’s dance and theatre scene.

The show will include a multiplicity of jazz dance styles, ranging from modern street dance and rhythmic complexity of tap, to the sensuality and lyricism of contemporary jazz.

For all fans of song and dance, this is a show not to be missed.

Formed in 1996 by London Studio Centre, one of Britain’s foremost colleges for the performing arts, the Jazz Dance Company provides professional performing and touring experiences for final year students specialising in jazz dance.

Dancers have been trained in techniques of ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary dance, singing and drama and the final year is an exciting, challenging opportunity for the serious jazz dancers.

Many members of the company have had extensive professional experience in the commercial theatre and graduate students have appeared in such West End shows as Cats, Saturday Night Fever, Fosse, West Side Story, Spamalot, Kiss Me Kate, Fame, Grease, Bombay Dreams, The Lion King and Starlight Express to name just a few.

Jazz Dance Company will be at The Playhouse in Weston on May 30 at 7.30pm. Tickets priced £10-14 and family tickets £45, are available on 01934 645544 or online at www.theplayhouse.co.uk
