Moscow State Circus
THE Moscow State Circus will bring its newest, most spectacular show to the South West this autumn.
The world-famous Russian circus will perform Babushkin Sekret in Bristol and Bath over the next two months, and we’ve got five pairs of family tickets to give away for people to see the performance in Bristol.
Inspired by the legend of The 12 Chairs, the newly-devised show features the beautiful queen of Russian circus, Yana Alievia, on a revolving aerial chandelier, and the breathtaking Stalkions, who walk, back-flip and perform incredible pyramids 30 feet up in the air on the legendary high wire.
There is also the Whirlwind Rubsovsm troupe who acrobatically catapult themselves across and high into the big top at breakneck speeds, the juggling Sherbakovs and the vertical pole-balancing of The Alikanov.
And throughout the show Valik and Valerik the clowns will keep the audience entertained.
The circus will be in Royal Victoria Park in Bath first, where there will be performances at 5pm and 7.45pm from September 19-21, 3pm and 6pm on September 22 and 2pm and 5pm on September 23.
It will then move on to Durdham Downs in Westbury Road, Bristol, with performances running from October 3-14, except for October 8.
Monday to Friday performances are held at 5pm and 7.45pm, Saturday ones at 3pm and 6pm and Sunday ones at 2pm and 5pm.
n The Mercury has teamed up with the tour organisers to offer five family tickets, each for four people, for the performance in Bristol on October 5.
