TOP boy band Westlife will take part in a series of open-air concerts in Bath this month.Kian, Mark, Nicky and Shane will woo audiences with their mix of ballads and Irish charm at The Rec, the ground owned by Bath Cricket Club, on July 16.Westlife has dominated the UK music scene for seven years and the lads' latest album, Face To Face, epitomises the high standards of tunes they produce each time they hit the charts.With 34 million album sales under their belts, six of which have gone multi-platinum, the boys will return with some new material and some of their greatest hits to entertain crowds in Bath.Also appearing in the Summer Nights Open Air Concert Series are Simply Red and Elaine Page with Michael Ball.Mick Hucknall and his band have been performing across the world since the 1980s.In 1985 the band's debut album shot into the top 20 of the charts thanks partly to the success of the lead single Holding Back The Years. Hucknall and his musicians have gone on to have many more successful releases ever since.Simply Red will perform at The Rec on July 14.Elaine Page and Michael Ball will offer an alternative musical experience the following night.Hailed as The First Lady of Musical Theatre, Elaine is the multi-award winning star of numerous West End and Broadway productions. With 20 solo albums, including eight consecutive gold and four multi-platinum selling ones, she is a familiar face on radio and television as well as on the stage.Michael Ball has also starred on Broadway and in the West End.
