AS A Westonian, I looked on with consternation and disbelief as the pier went up in flames. To see the mangled mass of metal that remains is most upsetting. I consider the pier to be part of my heritage and feel a deep sense of loss. I really hope the Michaels will bring her back to her former glory and will be watching with interest to see her rise from the ashes.Maybe when she is restored, she could be named, 'the Grand Phoenix Pavilion' or something similar, with the Tropicana fiasco and the old pier falling into the sea (almost), Weston needs something positive to come out of this and I wish the Michaels the best of luck.LINDA LUDWELL - Columbo Crescent, Weston
