I WANTED to say how bad the roads are in Weston and Worle. We are at a time when we pay more council tax than ever before and yet the road surfaces are a disgrace. It's not just slight wear but large areas of tw or three inch gouges spreading in the road surface. This is extremely dangerous as drivers are driving on the other side of the road at times to avoid these areas. Also, it must contribute badly to wear and tear of people's cara. There is a particularly bad piece of road at the junction of Lisle Road and Becket Road in Worle which needs to be seen to be believed. We have called the council and it has assured us that the surfaces will be fixed soon, but I have no confidence in what it says. What I would like to see is a published list of all roads which need resurfacing and a schedule of when this will be carried out, so at least we know that something is being done.DAVID JONES - Via email
