OH ... there is no pleasing some people. Cllr Echo Irving of Wrington Council was not 'stifled' or 'gagged' from speaking at the pre Christmas scrutiny meeting into Bristol Airport as she claims. She was free to take part in the whole three and a half hour debate, asking questions and putting Wrington Parish Council's view. I don't really see how much more democratic I could have been. She seemed to want only to make a three-minute speech at the beginning of the meeting, which would not have helped scrutiny panel members to understand and ask questions about the issues one iota. She then left the meeting early, so actually didn't really represent her 2,000 residents in the parish of Wrington very well at all!ELFAN AP REES - Chairman Strategic Planning and Economic Development Scrutiny Panel
